Our mission in First Kids is to partner with parents in discipling their children toward knowing God, loving each other, and learning to be missionaries. We aim to do this by equipping parents to lead spiritually, laying the foundation biblically, and creating space on Sundays for kids to encounter God, build community with leaders and peers, and grasp the mission of God.

Summer Superbook Series
Last week was the kickoff to a special Summer Superbook Series for our kids going into grades 1 to 5! This is taking place during our worship services for the next 6 weeks, and is designed for kids to learn about the Bible, its themes, stories, and verses in both a creative and an engaging way. Two teams have been formed, but it is not too late for your kid(s) to join! You can also order a t-shirt! If you have a student in grades 6 to 12 who would like to help with this by being a leader, they can register by filling out the same form. If you have questions, please contact Josiah Joseph.

A Note from Josiah Joseph:
Hey FirstMC Family! If we haven’t met yet, I hope we do soon. My name is Josiah Joseph, and as the new kid’s director I have been entrusted with being a resource for you and your family, guiding and walking with you in the journey of spiritually forming our kids from ages 0-10, or infants through 5th grade.
Right now, as a rapidly growing church community, we have a great opportunity to be in step with the Lord, guiding and shaping our children in a way that they see that God knows and loves them, and that they would long to know and love God. We want to impart the truth that God is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and overflowing with loyal love and faithfulness. This is how the Lord first introduces himself to His people (Exodus 34:6), and it is the foundation that I believe we must lay when approaching the spiritual growth and formation of our kids.
As mentioned, we are growing rapidly – praise God! But with this comes a great need for people who long to come alongside our kids and their families through this journey. We need faithful volunteers with a heart to serve these kids on Sundays during our service, to teach and guide with love.
